René Huemer is a Vienna, Austria based photographer with a passion for people, music and travel.
Rene´s dedication to photography has led to a portfolio brimming with live concert images and intimate portraits for some of the largest names in music: The Rolling Stones, Metallica, Leonard Cohen, Skin, Lemmy and ZZ Top to name a few.
In 2012 René was asked to join the DAVE MATTHEWS BAND as their tour photographer on their summer tour. Ever since he travels with the band and has documented such historic shows like the band´s first ever appearance in South Africa and Mexico City and further US and European tours.
His work has appeared in both print and digital publications such as ROLLING STONE, RELIX, ESQUIRE, THE RED BULLETIN and JAZZED and has been exhibited in Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Florence, Lisbon, Vienna or Munich.
Besides the DAVE MATTHEWS BAND. René also accompanies PHISH as their official tour photographer and his images can be found in a number of live albums and merchandise offered by each band.
